legalsuper retains ‘Platinum’ rating for 2010
legalsuper has retained the coveted 'Platinum' rating from SuperRatings, an independent ratings firm that rates over 200 Australian funds.
'Platinum' is the highest available rating and puts legalsuper in the top 15% of funds in the SuperRatings universe.
SuperRatings’ defines platinum funds as: ‘The best value for money funds. Well balanced across all key assessment criteria – investment returns, investment methodology, fees, insurance, administration and advisory services in a robust, secure and proven governance/risk framework. Provides features that should assist most individuals to meet their retirement goals'.
SuperRatings’ rating process considers all aspects of super funds, including:
• Investment (including; methodology, performance, process)
• Fees and Charges (including; cost, structure, transparency)
• Administration (including; structure, service standards, internet facilities)
• Advice (including; member education, employer servicing, financial planning)
• Governance (including; trustee structure, risk management)
• Insurance (including; rates, options, conditions)
• Other qualitative aspects (including; overall benefits, flexibility and choice, transparency, usability)
