General aim:
To provide long-term growth by investing directly in listed Australian shares and trusts from the S&P/ASX200 Index.
Risk profile:
100% is invested in listed Australian shares and trusts selected by the member from stock in the S&P/ASX200 Index, being shares and units (together referred to as ‘stock’ in legalsuper's Product Disclosure Statement) in the largest 200 companies and trusts by market capitalisation listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
Returns may take the form of capital gains or losses, may include dividends, and carry the highest level of investment risk. Short-term fluctuations will occur, but the highest investment returns are expected over longer periods. The investment horizon is very long (7–10 years+).
Investor profile:
Will suit investors who want to have an active role in managing their super and are comfortable with the higher level of associated risk. This option gives members more control over where their super is invested, and members can balance growth investments from the S&P/ASX200 Index with defensive investments to suit their personal preferences. Investment strategy:
Money is invested in stocks chosen by the member from the S&P/ASX 200 Index, subject to the Eligibility and Investment rules. There is no investment in defensive assets such as fixed interest and cash.
