How to find any lost super

Step 1: 

Explore your records for an annual statement from your other super fund(s).

Step 2: 

If you are unsuccessful, the next stop is the Australian Taxation Office. Its SuperSeeker tool will provide you with possible matches. It is free and available 24 hours a day. You will need your tax file number (TFN). 

Step 3: 

Or, your super may have been transferred into an Eligible Rollover Fund (ERF). Search the following links for your lost super, or call them direct. Try them all:

Ask previous employers which fund they paid your super into.

Step 5: 

Search the State Lost Monies registers and ASIC.
