Changes to the Direct Investment option
As part of our commitment to continually provide you with competitive products and services, we're excited to announce some important improvements to the legalsuper Direct Investment option (DIO).
Improvements to your Direct Investment option
Effective 6 May 2019, the legalsuper DIO will be transitioned to a new platform provided through UBS Securities Australia Limited. This change will allow us to deliver a number of improvements to the current DIO platform, including but not limited to:
Greater transparency and timeliness of transactions
- Receive the benefit of any franking credits upon receipt of dividends
- CGT calculated real time and crystallised to your account quarterly; and
- Ability to trade on proceeds of any sold stock immediately (instead of waiting until trade settles).
Improved reporting capability
Stay on top of your portfolio with a range of new reporting capabilities including
- Portfolio valuation
- Cash transactions
- Fees and expenses
- Realised and unrealised Capital Gains Tax reporting, and more.
One stop shop
In addition to being able to invest in shares and term deposits, the platform will now also allow you to manage switches to your other legalsuper investment option(s), changes to your future contributions strategy and pension drawdown changes (if applicable) in the one place.
Access what you want, when you want
The new DIO platform will bring together market data and investment news from Morningstar, and UBS economic and company research and ratings into one centralised, personalised content hub.
Stay up to date
Ability to run real-time stock quotes and subscribe to 20-minute delayed research and price change alerts delivered direct to your email address based upon what you hold in your portfolio or your watch-list.
What you need to do
